Biography

Laura-Gray Street is the author of the poetry collection Pigment Fume (Salmon Poetry, 2014). Her work has appeared in BlackbirdShenandoahMeridianThe Notre Dame ReviewPoetry DailyThe Greensboro ReviewThe Yalobusha Review, and elsewhere, and she co-edited The Ecopoetry Anthology (Trinity University Press, 2013). She has received fellowships and awards from the Virginia Commission for the Arts, the Southern Women Writers Conference, the Dana Awards, The Greensboro Review, the Virginia Center for the Creative arts, and the Artist House at St. Mary’s College in Maryland. Educated at Hollins University, the University of Virginia, and the Warren Wilson Program for Writers, she is an associate professor of English at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia.
