Averill Curdy’s poems have appeared in journals both in the United States and England, including Poetry, The Paris Review,Raritan, The Manchester Review, and The New England Review. Her work has been recognized by fellowships from the NEA and the Illinois State Arts Council, as well as the Rona Jaffe Foundation. She lives in Chicago, where she teaches creative writing and literature at Northwestern University.
