Rebecca Black

Rebecca Black’s first book, Cottonlandia, (University of Massachusetts Press, 2005), won a Juniper Prize. The book’s title poem, first published in Poetry, is anthologized in From the Fishouse: An Anthology of Poems that Sing, Rhyme, Resound, Syncopate, Alliterate, and Just Plain Sound Great (Persea Books, 2009). Recipient of Wallace Stegner and NEA fellowships, Black has been a Stanford artist-in-residence at the Cité des Arts in Paris as well as a 2011 visiting Fulbright professor at the Seamus Heaney Center in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She has an MFA from Indiana University, and graduated from Tulane University with degrees in history and English. Her poems can be found in the New England Review, Shenandoah, Missouri Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, Conjunctions online, Pleiades, Colorado Review, Cincinnati Review, New Orleans Review, and other journals.
