Michael Morse has published poems in many journals including A Public Space, The American Poetry Review, Bomb, The Iowa Review, The LIterary Review, Ploughshares, Spinning Jenny, and Tin House, and in the anthologies Broken Land: Poems of Brooklyn (New York University Press, 2007); Starting Today: 100 Poems for Obama’s First 100 Days (University of Iowa Press, 2010); and The Best American Poetry, 2012. His first book, Void and Compensation, was published by Canarium Books in April 2015. He teaches at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School and the Iowa Summer Writing Festival, and he lives in Brooklyn, New York.
