David Bruzina was born in Lexington, Kentucky. He has degrees in English and philosophy from Macalester College, UNC-Greensboro, Virginia Tech, and Ohio University, and currently teaches reading and writing at the University of South Carolina at Aiken. He also directs the “Area II” Intellectual History and Critical Thinking program at the North Carolina Governor’s School. His poems have appeared in The Greensboro Review, Waccamaw, StorySouth, and elsewhere. In his free time, David Bruzina enjoys hunting, fishing, cooking, and hanging out with dogs.
