Mariano Peyrou
Mariano Peyrou was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but has lived in Madrid since 1976. He plays the saxophone and holds a degree in Social Anthropology. His books include La voluntad de equilibrio [The Will of Balance] (Fundación María del Villar, 2000); A veces transparente [Sometimes Transparent] (Bartleby Editores, 2004); La sal [Salt] (Pre-Textos, 2005); Estudio de lo visible [Study of the Visible] (Pre-Textos, 2007); and Temperatura voz [Temperature Voice] (Pre-Textos, 2010). In Argentina he has published two books: De las cosas que caen [From the Things That Fall] (Bajo la luna, 2004), and La unidad del dos [The Unity of Two] (EDUCC, 2004). Two translations of his poetry have recently been published: one in the Portuguese anthology O discurso opcional obrigatório (Averno, 2009), and the Italian translation, Il Sale (Raffaelli Editore, 2010).
